United States Postal Service (USPS) informs the designated operators of UPU member countries that a major winter storm has been severely affecting its operations in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern areas of the United States since Thursday, 4 January 2018, and is expected to last through Sunday, 7 January 2018.

The winter storm has resulted in flight cancellations and delays, power outages, and impassable roads, which will all affect mail delivery for this region.
