Eswatini – Extension of partial lockdown

26 mai, 2020

Eswatini Posts & Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC), would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that following the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic, EPTC has been impacted as follows:

The country has been on partial lockdown, which was initially scheduled to end on 18 May 2020.

However, owing to an increase in the number of new cases of people contracting the virus, the government of Eswatini has extended the lockdown by one month, until 19 June 2020.

During the partial lockdown, limited postal services are being offered, in particular domestic services. Most employees are working from home and only a skeleton staff is working on site. International mail is being received and dispatched on a limited scale, depending on the situation in countries of transit.

Consequently, delivery standards are not being met.

EPTC thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
